10 Exact Moments Horror Movie Villains Knew They’d Lost

2. Chucky Realises He's Too Late - Child's Play 2

For the first couple of Child's Play movies, the murderous Charles Lee Ray was desperate to swap the confines of his Good Guy doll vessel for that of young Andy Barclay. And at one point towards the end of Child's Play 2, it looks as if this serial killer has succeeded.

As Chucky recites a voodoo incantation while having Andy hostage, all the hassle and bloody carnage of those first two films looks like it was all worth it for this rogue. Just when the audience believes that Charles will be leaving that Chucky body behind, though, this friend 'til the end's nose starts bleeding.

With that, the realisation kicks in that the spirit of Charles Lee Ray has spent too much time in the Chucky doll, meaning he is now not only permanently trapped in that 'body, but that this sign of blood means the villain is actually now killable.

That doesn't mean Chucky goes down without a fight, of course, for he chases Andy and his foster sister Kyle through the Play Pals factory during this sequel's climax - until Chucky meets an ooey, gooey demise.
