Joel Schumacher's two entries in the Batman franchise are without a doubt the low points of the entire series, moving away from the dark Gothicism of the Tim Burton movies in favor of a toyetic, neon and nipples aesthetic that ultimately led to the Caped Crusader's seven-year absence from the big screen. That being said, Batman Forever does provide the character with one of his greatest entrances when he crashes Edward Nygma's party. Batman drops through the skylight, with an incredibly overzealous extra thankfully pointing this out to us. Landing in the middle of a fountain, the Dark Knight casually back-flips to the floor and proceeds to bust some heads in the movie's best fight scene. Jim Carrey pretty much sums things up when he tells Two-Face; 'your entrance was good, his was better'. A refreshingly epic moment for the Dark Knight in a movie that focused a little too heavily on the scenery-chewing supporting characters.
I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
