10 Most Excrutiatingly Annoying Comic Book Movie Characters
3. The Juggernaut (X-Men: The Last Stand)
There's not a lot that needs to be said about this one. Casting Brit hardman Vinnie Jones as fan favourite character The Juggernaut was already a tough sell, but this was made worse when director Brett Ratner had the lightbulb idea of having the character reference an Internet meme, in which two guys re-dubbed the X-Men Animated Series, famously having The Juggernaut shout, "I'm The Juggernaut, b****!". Jones says the line verbatim during his fight with Ellen Page's Kitty Pryde, in what is easily one of the worst moments in comic book history. More problematic than the script's abuse of the character is how fundamentally miscast Jones is in the role: it's pretty difficult to separate the actor from his previous roles at the best of times, but here, he sticks out like a sore thumb. Of all the mistakes Ratner made on this movie, this has to be one of the biggest.
