10 Expanded Universe Creations That Star Wars 7 Could Incorporate
4. The One Sith
The Sith and Jedi are opposite sides of the same coin and it would be very hard to do a successful Star Wars movie without having the Sith or Dark Jedi involved in some form or another. That being said, it might be time to throw the Rule of Two out the window; now that the Jedi Order has been rebuilt and the Emperor is long dead, it will take a larger threat than just two Sith Lords to do some damage. The comic series Star Wars: Legacy pioneered the idea of the One Sith, a Sith Order that follows the Rule of One; that is, a united order of Dark Side users. The main villain of that series, Darth Krayt, is the Dark Lord of the Sith, and he has a couple of lieutenants and countless lower-ranking subordinates. Introducing a Sith Order made up of hundreds of Sith to rival the Jedi would lead to a spectacle never before seen on screen. Imagine the battle concluding Attack of the Clones, but with hundreds of Sith as well as hundreds of Jedi. Although the existence of a new, larger Sith Order would have to be explained in Episode VII, it is relatively easy to do so; setting up the "One Sith" as being independent of the Empire and disavowed from Darth Sidious and Vader would work fine. This would also be a nice and clean way to bring the thousands of years of Sith history into the movies without relegating it non-canon.
I'm a fan of all things comic book and an avid moviegoer. Trying to catch up on a never-ending backlog of films- maybe someday. Leave me a comment if you enjoy my articles, think I'm a hack, or anywhere in between.
