10 Extremely Controversial Films That Upset The Censors

7. Murder Set Pieces (2004)

ojfojopj Murder Set Pieces is the tale of an immigrant German photographer in the US. By day he shoots erotic pictures, by night he slaughters prostitutes. All in all, a not terribly good film and little more than an excuse to showcase human brutality and perversion. Your life will not be meaningless if you go without watching this pile of tripe. It was banned by the BBFC because it features non consensual sex with oodles of violence. It shows young children terrorised and killed and it portrays extreme callousness towards the victim - actively inviting the viewer to delight in the images. Violence is presented as arousing. The BBFC also said that the film was so loaded with objectionable material, there was no point in making cuts. So we do not have the sanction of the BBFC to watch Grotesque. I'm not particularly fussed.

My first film watched was Carrie aged 2 on my dad's knee. Educated at The University of St Andrews and Trinity College Dublin. Fan of Arthouse, Exploitation, Horror, Euro Trash, Giallo, New French Extremism. Weaned at the bosom of a Russ Meyer starlet. The bleaker, artier or sleazier the better!
