4. Phil Collins Plays A Police Inspector In Hook (For Some Reason)

Quite why Phil Collins has a role in Steven Spielberg's Hook is unclear, because he's Phil Collins... why does he need to be in Hook, right? And yet here the former Genesis singer is, featured in a brief role that you probably didn't give much thought to, and that's because it exists entirely for exposition purposes.

He enters the scene, talks for a bit in a British accent, and leaves again. There's nothing remarkable about it in the slightest - so much so, that I know people who have watched this movie hundreds of times and failed to consider that this guy with Phil Collins.

Weirdly, there's not a single, plausible way that he might have been linked to the production back in 1991. And he was too famous and well-known for this to have an early role or something. Odd.
