10 Famous Actors Who Have Resigned Themselves To Just Doing Cameos

8. Guy Pearce

Guy Pearce has all the qualities of a leading man and is perhaps one of the most underrated actors working today... and yet this guy seems absolutely fine with taking on small roles in anything he can get his hands on. Is it because these roles are all he's being offered? Does Pearce have a problem with being on a set for longer than two days? Seriously, think about all the movies you've seen Guy Pearce making small appearances in over the last few years: Prometheus, Lawless, The Hurt Locker, The King's Speech... a few scenes, here and there. That's not to say that Pearce never plays the lead in anything: he has and does now and again (he was the sort of villain in Iron Man 3, you'll remember), but there's a real sense that he has a thing for "in and out" appearances. And now whenever he appears on screen in a small role, it's of absolutely no surprise - it's what we've come to expect from Mr. Pearce, who even decided he should become an old man for Prometheus, even though director Ridley Scott could (and should) have just brought in an actual old man. Still, at least he's always good in everything, huh?
