10 Famous Actors Who Have Resigned Themselves To Just Doing Cameos

7. Will Smith

Will Smith's part in the M. Night Shyamalan-directed disaster that was After Earth was much more than just a cameo, but you know what? Essentially, that's all it really was. For once, of course, the world wasn't annoyed with M. Night Shyamalan for making a bad movie, but with Smith for tricking us all into thinking that he was really a part of it. After all, upon release, we all realised that After Earth was nothing but a Jaden Smith vehicle disguised as a Will Smith and Jaden Smith vehicle. The problem is, Jaden has absolutely none of his father's charms or talents. Harsh as that may sound, we have to face up to facts and admit that such a thing is true. So since he got back on the saddle with Men in Black III, Will Smith decided that he wanted out of the limelight again - who knows what's happened to this guy in the last few years? - and settled instead for a lame, underwritten part in After Earth, followed by two cameos: one in Anchorman 2 as a news reporter, and another in the upcoming travesty that is A Winter's Tale, where he appears briefly as Lucifer. Why is superstar Will Smith taking a backseat all of a sudden?
