10 Famous Actors Who Have Resigned Themselves To Just Doing Cameos

3. Steve Buscemi

Steve Buscemi has - for some reason - always been the kind of guy you can slot into a cameo role: just ask Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez, who put him in Pulp Fiction and Desperado respectively. Still, back when he did those movies, he was at the height of the career, and was frequently appearing in movies as major characters. Nowadays, you'll struggle to find Steve Buscemi in a part that extends over the five minute mark. He's as if he's resigned himself - perhaps due to scheduling conflicts with his work on Boardwalk Empire - to playing tiny parts. Like when he appeared in the Kristen Stewart adaptation of On The Road as "Tall Thin Salesman" - that's his part? He also had a small, cameo-sized role in Rampart with Woody Harrelson, two cameo appearances in Grown Ups and Grown Ups 2, and a brief appearance in Youth in Revolt, which starred Michael Cera. If you're a smartass, you'll say, "he recently appeared in The Incredible Burt Wonderstone," and to that we'll say... okay. But given the frequency at which Buscemi used to appear as major players, these cameos seem like a step backwards.
