10 Famous Actors That Debuted In Horror Movies

9. Henry Cavill - Hellraiser: Hellworld (2005)

Hellraiser: Hellworld is the eighth entry in the Hellraiser franchise and is most remembered for being one of Henry Cavill's first American film roles.

The movie tells of a group of friends obsessed with the Hellraiser and cenobite mythos. They are deep into a video game based on the mythology, and readily accept an invitation to attend a "game party" at a secluded manor. Unbeknownst to them, a familiar pinheaded figure has already been summoned.

Hellworld is... likely not the first film anyone would choose as their American debut. However, for an aspiring actor, a role in a studio-produced horror film must seem like a pot of gold, or at least a foot in the Hollywood door.

Here Cavill plays Mike, a somewhat douche-y jock type character that's more concerned about getting laid than his friends' discomfort as people begin to disappear. Giving credit to Cavill, he nails the arrogant, self-obsessed "pretty boy" portrayal. The character is genuinely hateful and it is refreshing when he finally meets his maker.

Hellworld actually has some merit when compared to the mess of sequels it is surrounded by. The movie plays as a more by-the-numbers slasher making it somewhat more enjoyable than the complicated previous entries. The movie also marks the final appearance of Doug Bradley as Pinhead, so Cavill at least got to be mutilated by an icon.
