10. Leonardo DiCaprio
Notable Deaths Include: The Quick and the Dead, Total Eclipse, Romeo + Juliet, Titanic, Blood Diamond, The Departed, J. Edgar, Django Unchained, The Great Gatsby, Shutter Island (sort of) It's unusual for Hollywood A-listers to find themselves murdered over and over again in movies, because studios would prefer not to kill off main characters if such a thing can be helped ("Don't remove the possibility of a sequel!"). Still, Leonardo DiCaprio is one actor on top of the pile who always seems to deny his survivability and has opted to die on-screen at the drop of a hat on a ton of occassions. For some reason, Leo's always getting freakin' killed. Granted, his work with Martin Scorsese alone has certainly helped the actor to increase the body count, but Leo has succumbed to the pitfalls of being shot, poisoned, drowned and blown up in a whole host of other movies, too. Leo's preferred way to go is to be shot at an unexpected moment, or when he's least ready for it, a la
The Departed,
Django Unchained and
The Quick and the Dead. And we're usually just as shocked as he is.
