10 Famous Actors Who Are Skipping Movies In 2019

Ben Stiller's star power has been declining for a while now, and the disappointment of Zoolander 2 was a pretty huge nail hammered deep into his coffin. The funnyman's acting work has been much more low-key ever since, with small Netflix release The Meyerowitz Stories being his biggest success over the last few years.

As a result, his big-screen acting work is growing rather limited. He didn't have a major headlining release in 2018, and in 2019, the same will be true. Rather, it appears he's more focused on behind-the-scenes work at the moment, with producer credits on 2019 flicks like Friendsgiving and Dinner In America dominating his upcoming schedule.

However, there is one big project he's attached to in the role of actor: male stripper movie I Am Chippendales, which is currently in pre-production and will also feature Slumdog Millionaire's Dev Patel. Described as Magic Mike meets Scarface, little else is known about the movie other than that it's coming.

Hopefully, Stiller can deliver some of that comedic magic we all know he's capable of.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
