10 Famous Actors Who Are Skipping Movies In 2019

7. Andrew Garfield

Had his tenure as Spider-Man panned out a little better, there's a chance we'd still be seeing Andrew Garfield sporting the spandex to this very day.

But as it stands, he's taken his foot off the blockbuster pedal since his ill-fated portrayal of Peter Parker over four years ago, opting instead for meatier dramatic roles that have earned him a lot of awards buzz over the last several years.

Unfortunately, looking ahead, it looks like he's taking his foot off every kind of movie pedal imaginable. Garfield currently doesn't have anything movie-related on his slate for the rest of 2018 and beyond (Under The Silver Lake does go wide soon, but it's already released in some markets), leaving his next few years looking uncertain.

It's not even like he's been heavily rumoured to be joining any projects, either. For someone who's been delivering his best work in movies like Silence and Hacksaw Ridge recently, that's a shame.

In 2022, he took charge of WhoCulture and has grown it into the biggest Doctor Who channel on YouTube, and one of the biggest Doctor Who communities on the web full-stop. He has been writing and video editing since his early teens, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers, off the back of a burning obsession with the Matt Smith era of the show. Like many his age, he first got into Doctor Who with the 2005 revival, but has since gone back and fallen in love with the classic years too. If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order, or to give you a random factoid about the making of Gridlock, Danny is the person to ask!
