10 Famous Actors Who Are Skipping Movies In 2019

3. Jason Momoa

Once the hugely-anticipated Aquaman hits cinemas this Christmas, star Jason Momoa won't be seen on our screens for a good long while.

He doesn't currently have any big-screen work slated for 2019, and in fact, he doesn't have any other movie projects in the works that have a firm release date. Besides Aquaman, the only upcoming film he's attached to is Just Cause - based on the video game series - which has not been dated yet. Realistically, that could be a 2020 release, but at this stage, we've no idea.

Things could have been different though. Momoa was once attached to star in a remake of The Crow, which would have opened in 2019, but he exited the project earlier this year. Additionally, a sequel to Justice League was once slated for late 2019, but with the mixed reception to the first film (and the messy nature of the DC Film Universe as a whole) the project quietly fell off Warner Bros' schedule.

On the plus side, if Aquaman is a hit, Momoa will surely get a sequel - though that won't arrive till late 2020 at the earliest.
