10 Famous Actors Who Have Literally Never Been Bad In A Movie

Though Viola Davis became a regular character actor in major Hollywood movies from the early 2000s onwards, it wasn't until her jaw-dropping (yet brief) performance in 2008's Doubt, which netted her a Best Supporting Actress Oscar nomination, that most people learned who she was.

Yet ever since she started acting in the late 1990s, Davis has carried herself with an uncommon sense of authority which, inevitably, led to her being cast as cops, District Attorneys and CIA stuffed shirts in countless films throughout the 2000s.

And you know why? Because she's so damn good at commanding the screen with a scarcely simmering intensity, even if Doubt made the industry take notice of how much more she had to offer.

Between her earlier roles and more recent transition into meatier leading parts, such as in Fences and Widows, Davis has never once mailed a role in. Even in a project as dubious as Suicide Squad, she milked every last drop out of it and acquitted herself admirably.

In recent years she's made a convincing case as one of the most persuasive and inscrutable actresses of her generation, and she doesn't seem to be letting up any time soon.
