For the young readers, there was a time before Iron Man when Marvel sporadically released movies. Unfortunately, one of those movies was Daredevil. Daredevil was the first superhero role for star Ben Affleck, but it was actually his best friend who was first offered the part.

Matt Damon has said that he is a big fan of the character, but chose to pass because he was unfamiliar with director Mark Steven Johnson’s work and was "apprehensive" about taking it. Way to trust your instincts Matt. He chose instead to suggest his good friend Ben Affleck.
