10. Denzel Washington's Film Debut Was "Guy Getting Shot" In Death Wish
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-pu31S4EEY Denzel Washington is considered today to be one of the finest actors of his generation, and that's mostly because he's freakin' awesome at it. If you've seen the man in Training Day, Philadelphia or the recent airplane crash movie Flight, you'll know why he's won two Oscars, two Golden Globes, and a Tony. Big man on campus, huh? But Denzel wasn't always the natural epitome of cool that he makes out. Everybody has to start somewhere, and Denzel started out playing a street thug in Michael Winner's movie Death Wish, a role which required him to "move towards Charles Bronson, say nothing, and get shot down." I don't know about you, but I think he pulls it off beautifully. His superb efforts were kind of in vain, though, given that he didn't even get credited for his performance in this movie. Presumably Charles Bronson didn't want to be overshadowed by the future acting legend, so they opted to cut his name out of the credits completely, based on the excellent way he died. Speaking of Death Wish, though...
