Sale Price: $504,000

Most people who have seen Indiana Jones probably wish they could be Indiana Jones, and while globe-trotting adventures and death-defying stunts will be off-limits for most normal folk, at least his outfit is simple enough to recreate.

Alternatively, if you wanted to splash the cash and shell out for the real thing... then you'd better be prepared to do a lot of splashing.

Just last year, one of the fedoras sported by Harrison Ford in the Indiana Jones movies sold for a jaw-dropping $504,000 (£393,600) at an auction in London. The hat also came packing Ford's signature on the inner band, and was described as being worn "extensively" by the actor.

Ford wore this specific hat during many iconic scenes from Raiders of the Lost Ark, including shooting the swordsman, the Well of Souls, and the fight against the hulking German underneath the propeller of an airplane.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
