10 Famous People You Forgot Were In Jean-Claude Van Damme Movies
1. Forest Whitaker - Bloodsport (1988)
Forest Whitaker is a legendary actor, his acting has won him many awards. His role in The Last King of Scotland (2006) earning him Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role at the Oscars, and a BAFTA for Best Actor in a Leading Role. He also won awards for his parts in Marvel’s Black Panther (2018) and Butler’(2013). Trying to list all his achievements in acting sounds like a daunting task, the list is so long. He’s more than made up for Battlefield Earth (2000), a role for which he has himself expressed regret.
In 1988, long before he was Godfather of Harlem, Whitaker played Rawlins in Bloodsport. Rawlins and his partner Helmer are agents sent to Hong Kong to prevent Frank Dux (JCVD) from competing in the mysterious kumite and return him to the United States.
Predictably, the ever-reliable Whitaker does well with what little he’s given. His role in Bloodsport will always be remembered though, for him being the recipient of Ray Jackson’s (Donald Gibb aka Ogre from the 1984 Revenge of the Nerds) savage burn. “I ain’t your pal, D*ckface”.
