10 Famous People You Forgot Were In Jean-Claude Van Damme Movies

7. Lance Henriksen - Hard Target (1993)

Replicant Movie
Universal Pictures

It could easily be argued that Hard Target (1993) was Van Damme’s most universally loved movie, with John Woo in the director’s chair and Lance Henriksen as the cold-hearted Emil Fouchan.

Fouchan uses his extreme wealth to arrange games for his rich clients, making himself even wealthier in the process. These games involve loading up homeless veterans with cash and hunting them down. If the hunted make it to a certain point without being killed, they keep the cash.

After seeing him kick some ass, Natasha hires Chance Bourdreax (JCVD) to act as a guide in her search for her father. Their search leads them towards Fouchan and his cronies. Can you guess what happened to Natasha’s father? That’s right, he was hunted and killed after being recruited to play Fouchan’s game.

Henriksen is great here - he seems to enjoy himself playing a ruthless bad guy, much like he did in Man’s Best Friend (1993). His character is such a contrast to the mild-mannered synthetic, Bishop, he played in Aliens (1985), but it absolutely works.
