10 Famous People You Forgot Were In Jean-Claude Van Damme Movies

6. Ted Levine - Nowhere To Run (1993)

Replicant Movie
Columbia Pictures

Nowhere to Run (1993) comes a couple of years after ‘The Silence of the Lambs’ (1991) in which Ted Levine played Jame Gumb/Buffalo Bill. His role here is not quite as intense. Levine plays Mr Denton, henchman to Franklin Hale (Joss Ackland) a corrupt real estate developer. Hale is desperate for the land occupied by a widow named Clydie, a single mother of two. Mr Denton's job is persuade her to sell.

Sam (JCVD), is an escaped convict, hiding on Clydie's land. One night he saves the family from Hale’s goons and a relationship blossoms. Things escalate to the point where Mr. Dunston and Franklin Hale show up with guns to force the widow to sign the land away. Leading to a climactic chase and fight.

Nowhere to Run features an awkward performance from Van Damme as he trades his kicks for a serious attempt at acting. However, he is thoroughly out acted by Kieran Culkin by Rosanna Arquette. It's not a perfect movie, but it's still entertaining enough as a thriller.

This also isn’t a high point of Ted Levine’s career but at least it’s not Wild Wild West.
