10 Famous Things That Were Invented By Movie Time Travellers

10. Lou Reinvents Google As Lougle - Hot Tub Time Machine

Lougle By Tarelexie

Hot Tub Time Machine's entire concept can pretty much be summed up by the film's title. Four old friends trying to relive their glory days at a dilapidated ski resort manage to use their room's hot tub to travel back in time to their teen years. It's a wonderful send-up of 80s teen comedies as well as a thoughtful commentary on the nature of nostalgia. Hot Tub Time Machine is, in all fairness, way better than it really had any right to be. But it really knocks one out of the park at the end. When they finally find a way back to the present day, one of the group (Lou, played by Rob Corddry) decides to stay behind, seeing the possibility to have a second chance at a good life. When they get back to 2011, a lot of little things have changed, but the big surprise is Lou -- who is now a billionaire, having invented a little internet search engine called Lougle. Get it? Because it's Google, but invented by a narcissistic guy named Lou? Screw you guys, that's hilarious.
