10 Fan Theories For Upcoming Movies (That We Hope Are True)

9. Anna Will Have Powers In Frozen 2

Despite being such a massive cultural phenomenon, Frozen doesn't really do anything notable to set up a sequel. It's almost as if Disney didn't anticipate its success, and intended it to be a one-and-done, like Tangled.

With that in mind then, Frozen 2 could end up going absolutely anywhere, and that freedom will allow the filmmakers to go crazy with all their cool and wild ideas. The footage we've seen from the film so far has been pretty vague, so we're not exactly sure what any of those ideas will be, but isn't it likely that they've considered giving other characters some powers, to go along with Elsa?

A theory that's been percolating for a while now is that the sequel will reveal that Anna has magical abilities of her own, all centred around the season of Spring. One eagle-eyed Redditor even pointed out some evidence that backs this up: Anna wears green clothing at the start and end of the first film, while, for the middle portion, she doesn't. This could be because Elsa's ice powers have frozen Arendelle during this part of the film, which would kill off any plant life and get rid of those Spring colours. When Arendelle is eventually thawed out, the colour - and Anna's green clothes - return.

Also, the trailer for Frozen 2 features the line "the past is not what it seems", and Anna can be seen wearing her green clothes here again. After the first film was largely about Elsa's troubled past and upbringing, is Frozen 2 going to be Anna's turn?

It was cool at first, but it might get a little stale to see Elsa shoot icicles out of her hands over and over again, so bringing some new, exciting visuals into the series would be a good way to keep things feeling fresh.
