10 Fanboy Movies That Will Make 2015 Cinema's Geekiest Year

6. Sam Mendes Directs His 2nd Bond Film

skyfall vaio Sam Mendes brought James Bond back to fiery form following the tepid Quantum of Solace with Skyfall, which is regarded by many as one of Bond's best outings to date, and one that certainly lives up to Daniel Craig's inaugural outing, Casino Royale. With Mendes' exception directorial job, Bond was reimagined in a sense with a Christopher Nolan-esque aesthetic, which saw the franchise take several bold steps forward, in killing off series mainstay M, and also establishing a new Moneypenny, played by Naomi Harris. After originally swearing the project off, Mendes eventually decided to return to direct Bond 24, which is due to be released in the UK on October 25th, 2015, and he will apparently also be helming the 25th film in the series after that. With Daniel Craig now well at ease in the Bond role, and with a perfect set of supporting characters lined up for Bond 24, expectations are very high indeed.
