10 Fantasy Movie Announcements That Would Break The Internet

9. George Lucas To Digitally Remake Original Star Wars Trilogy With New Cast

Disney Star WarsAnnouncement: "In order to fit with the new continuity of the Star Wars saga, George Lucas is going to remake the Star Wars trilogy with the new actors from Episodes VII - XI, as well as the spin-offs. Original elements will remain, but the stories will be more finely tuned to fit with the newer entries, as well as be converted to the 3D format." Why It Would Break The Internet: George Lucas is a man that has never known when to leave well enough alone. With constant re-releases and re-touchings on the original trilogy already being ridiculous enough to fit the continuity of his prequel trilogy, Lucas is also revising his work to fit some sort of new path he's blazed or new actor he's cast in further installments. With J.J. Abrams making the new episode (and possibly the new trilogy), Lucas might make more tweaks and changes to his original three films in order to fit the new direction the new films take. Sample Comment of Snark: "Really? In this universe? In this part of the world? Lucas needs to stop hording his creations in a corner of his study, whilst hissing "MY TOYS! MY LOVE! MY PRECIOUS!"
