8. Holographic 3D Makes Debut With...

Holographic 3DAnnouncement: "After years of perfection, Holographic 3D made its debut at ShoWest with footage from various films in production. A Holographic 3D debut has been scheduled for the release of (insert film here), but the technology is still in its infancy. As a result, locations with Holographic 3D screenings are scarce." Why It Would Break The Internet: When 3D hit, film blogs were of two minds: some really enjoyed the new technology, while others thought it was just another upcharge added to already expensive ticket prices. When 48 FPS 3D hit the market, there was more of the same as the more realistic looking format made some motion sick and annoyed. So it's only a natural progression to have 3D make the jump to holographic, glasses free usage; as it's also natural for people to break the Internet with their critiques of the technology. Sample Comment of Snark: "Holographic 3D? Really? Don't we still have something called THE THEATRE?! What's next, 4D?"
