10 Female Film Characters With The Morals Of An Alley Cat

5. Night Train Murders (1975) - The Blonde Woman

Night Train Muders Basically Last House on the Left set on a train to jazz things up, Night Train Murders features a pair of hooligans and an icy cool blonde woman with no morals (she is never named but she is played by Macha Meril) who torture, rape and kill two schoolgirls - Margaret and Lisa on the train. It is Macha Meril's character we are interested in. She is certainly a colossal pervert if she is getting off on the action and cheers the two hooligans on in their treatment of Margaret and Lisa. One of her most egregious acts is sticking a knife up one of the girl's vagina. She does this with a flourish that is just thoroughly evil. And then she has the temerity to get the two hooligans to turf the body out of the window of the train. An exact rip off of Last House on the Left occurs at the end of the film when the girls' parents realise what has happened to their daughters and who the perpetrators are. One of the fathers grabs the blonde to choke her, but she manages to convince him that she too was a victim of the hooligans and they forced her to do things. The two hooligans are taken care of but the future of the blonde woman is uncertain. Macha Meril makes for a perfect immoral blonde woman. Even though it is an ugly film with ugly deeds, Meril's cool, aloof, depraved character is one of the most intriguing things about Night Train Murders. We are unaware of any motive for her immoral deeds - she is just a sick pervert who gets off on sadistic sexual violence and murder. The scene in which she rams a knife up one of the girl's vagina is shocking and brutal. This is an evil, evil woman who doesn't get her comeuppance at the end! Disturbing stuff.
