Juno once went jarhead as well. The second X-Men actress to cut off her curls, Ellen Page sheared her head to play Sherry in 2005s Mouth to Mouth. It was the Canadians first lead role on the big screen and by shaving her head she took the short route to the top. Page played a troubled teen that lives on the streets of Europe before joining a collective of other runaways and their leader. At first glad of the new found companionship, Sherry soon learns that not all is what it seems - the older male leader of the group is really victimising the easily-led and naïve kids (because that never happens). Shaving her head in stages throughout the film, Page is completely cue-ball by the end. Shortly after going short on top, the diminutive actress had to audition for her role in (what became her break-out movie) Hard Candy. Luckily for her the director saw past her hairstyle and she landed the role. Going bald has worked out well for the Nova Scotia native, going on to appear in international blockbusters like Inception.
