4. Tauntauns - Star Wars
LucasFilm/DisneyIf it's good enough for Han Solo, it's good enough for us. These massive furry mounts are capable of some pretty impressive speeds and can survive just about anywhere. According to starwars.wikia.com, they're also omnivorous, so unlike your vegetarian Auntie Irene, they won't be awkward come dinner time. Essentially, a tauntaun has all the advantage of a horse and very little downside. The one bad thing is pretty distinctive however: these things smell something fierce. Massive heaving animals with thick matted fur are going to stink your place out and even if they're kept outside, the odor is bound to carry. Let's keep these on the beach/in the snow then. Imagine a tauntaun ride through beautiful Lapland? They'd certainly be better than the donkey rides at British seasides in the summer. We've heard they make pretty good sleeping bags too...
