10 Film Inventions We Wish Were Real

1. Star Trek - Transporter

Star Trek had the right idea with their Transporter teleporting machine, even if they were restricted to only beaming to and from the Starship Enterprise. Having the ability to travel far distances and within mere seconds is the ultimate dream for me, not to mention how easy it would make everything. Just think of it, the ability to visit different, far off countries without having to wait in long airport queues, or being stuffed into a cabin next to a horrible sweaty person would just be bliss. Better yet, you could play with your light saber toasting knife a bit longer without worrying about being late for work ever again. I know, it's impossible, because in order to teleport, your body must be broken down on an atomic level and then rebuilt in exactly the same way, which is a tall order considering how many atoms we're made of (science!). Still, I don't think anyone would argue that a working teleport device, like the Transporter would be the greatest invention, ever. Am I right? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QGNfrNJZin4 What do you think? What kind of wondrous invention have you seen that you wish was real? Chime in and let us know in the comments below.
