10 Film Miscastings That Ruined Our Favorite Characters

2. Arnold Schwarzenegger - Mr. Freeze

In the Batman comic books, Victor Freeze is an older man, with the stereotypical appearance of a scientist. He is largely nondescript, skinny, bald and wears glasses. In fact he is 6 feet tall and weighs less than 200 pounds. In the film adaptation, Batman & Robin, he is portrayed by Austrian actor Arnold Schwarzenegger who is known for being bulky, a body builder and as the former governor of California. Basically the complete opposite of the role he was cast for. This casting choice was so far out of left field that one has to wonder if the production team knew the movie was horrible and so cast Schwarzenegger in the hopes of distracting from the sheer awfulness of the film---it was nearly universally panned by critics. No matter the reason Schwarzenegger as a scientist in any capacity is enough to make the most stalwart fan wonder who is responsible for such a decision.
