9. Blade II
Don't get me wrong, the original Blade was brilliant and introduced an awesome comic book hero to our screens. Blade was effortlessly cool and had a solid reason for wanting to eradicate the world of vampires. It was also rather awesome that he had all of their strengths with the added bonus of being a Daywalker. Blade II starts off with Blade hunting down Whistler, his mentor from the original after he survived his suicide attempt and was turned into the one thing Blade hates most. After an invitation from the vampire Elder, Blade learns of a new threat in the form of the Reaper virus. Blade is forced to team up with a highly trained pack of blood-suckers who were originally trained to hunt him down to get rid of this new threat. They don't take too kindly to this uneasy alliance though, and it soon becomes clear that they will double cross Blade given the opportunity. The sequel is packed with more action and gadgets than the original, with a lot more sword play and sharp wit from Blade. Ron Pearlman gives a great performance too as Rheinhardt, a character who has a real dislike for Blade.
