5. Ra's Al Ghul, Joker And Bane Dark Knight Trilogy
Batman is easily the most beloved of DCs wide array of ass-kicking superheroes and Christian Bales rendition of him is one of the best. He did a good job of conveying the placid, measured nature of Bruce Wayne which is prevalent in the original comic books. Why then do we want the three supervillains in Nolans lauded series to succeed? Its hard to get behind the stoic, unemotional Bat when the villains hes up against are so much more interesting. In all three films the most fascinating scenes were the ones where we witnessed the acts of these evil antagonists while the caped crusader was elsewhere, probably living it up with some super-models. It helped that Liam Neeson, Heath Ledger and Tom Hardy all knocked the ball out the park with their performances. Waynes playboy lifestyle (supposedly to act as a decoy from his secret life) leads us on to our next point. The tragic, untimely passing of his mother and father means that young Master Wayne inherited a ridiculously large multibillion-dollar fortune; its this money which funds the equipment he uses to fight crime. Rather than using this money to develop all his high-tech toys surely Wayne would have been far better off investing it in training an ultra-elite police force or curing cancer? It just seems like hes a rich kid whos determined to squander his cash leading his adrenaline-fueled lifestyle.
