10 Filmmakers Obsessed With ONE Thing

8. Quentin Tarantino - Feet

Quentin Tarantino From Dusk Till Dawn
A Band Apart

Quentin Tarantino's cinematic obsession with feet reached such ridiculous levels with last year's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood that it's basically become a self-parody at this point.

The filmmaker, presumed to be an enthusiastic foot fetishist by most of his fans, features bare feet - primarily of women, no less - in almost all of his films.

It all began with the iconic foot massage conversation in Pulp Fiction, and since then he's found a ham-fisted way to include at least one close-up foot shot in basically all of his films.

Perhaps most egregiously was Kill Bill's hilarious "wiggle your big toe" scene, while Once Upon a Time in Hollywood saw the filmmaker basically lean into the myth surrounding his supposed fetish by having Margaret Qualley, Margot Robbie, and Dakota Fanning bare their feet close to the screen.

Hell, Brad Pitt even ribbed Tarantino for it during his SAG award speech. But let's be honest, we'd all miss it if Tarantino decided to curb the foot stuff now - it's a trademark in its own right.
