8. Ted Bundy (2002)

Ted Bundy was an American serial killer, kidnapper, rapist and necrophile who assaulted and killed scores of young American women and girls during the 1970s. Bundy denied killing anyone until a decade after his capture when he admitted to the killing of 30 women all across America. The true figure is thought to be higher. The film does a terrific job of showing what a psychopath Bundy was - smooth, charming and debonair - he could have had his pick of women but underneath that facade he was a vicious, sadistic, perverted beast who murdered with great relish. There is no attempt to explain Bundy's pathology in the film - he just is what he is. Thankfully, the film does not go overboard in portraying Bundy's gruesome acts. The film is hard to watch as it is but I must say it is not exploitive or OTT in the gore stakes. The execution scenes at the end are amongst the best in the film as we see Bundy terrified crapless and crying like a little baby. A figure in a black hood pulls the electric chair lever and Bundy fries. The executioner removes their hood - it is a woman. A fitting end for a diabolical monster.
