10 Films Delayed Due To Coronavirus

7. Mission Impossible 7

No Time To Die Poster
Paramount Pictures

While no delay has been officially announced for the seventh installment in the Tom Cruise action franchise, it's fair to speculate that a delay is coming. The current release date for Mission Impossible 7 isn't till 2021, but the filming schedule has been heavily disrupted.

The first leg of shooting started in Venice, but was quickly shut down due to safety concerns. It's unclear when shooting can continue, but with Italy currently on lockdown, it's not likely to be any time soon. This will mean either a heavy delay to the shooting schedule, or possibly re-writes to adapt to a new location.

No matter what happens, don't expect Mission Impossible 7 to release on schedule.

Not much is know about the film at this stage. Cruise and Simon Pegg will be reprising their roles once again, with Hayley Atwell, Pom Klementieff and Nicholas Hoult joining the franchise for the first time.

What we do know is that a MI:8 is already confirmed to follow a year later, so it's likely that MI:7 is going to leave us on a huge cliffhanger.... whenever we end up seeing it.
