8. Premonition
The fragmented and non linear delivery of the narrative in this easily forgotten film from 2007, tells the story of Linda Hanson who experiences premonitions and flashbacks specifically concerning her Husband Jim's existence. This leads to a repetitive technique of Sandra Bullock's character waking up to life complete with Jim on one morning only to find herself alone the next.
The Reveal: Premonition eventually climaxes with the rather predictable plot twist of Jim suffering death synchronised to Linda's flashbacks and premonitions, to most this twist seems to be an eventuality rather than a surprise. Even the title gives a certain clue as to how the issue of foreseeing events or foreboding is explicitly alluded to.
