10 Films That Ruined Perfectly Good Holiday Destinations

8. Any Major Landmark - Team America World Police

team america eiffel tower A film featuring Thunderbirds-inspired puppets in entirely modelled places can€™t possibly portray a country or location in a bad light, can it? Well, that's up for debate. But it can certainly, undoubtedly, blow the bejesus out of them. Trey Parker and Matt Stone take sadistic pleasure in staging glorious fight scenes at iconic places. The film begins with a Terrorist plot being foiled in Paris - At the cost of the Eiffel tower and the Louvre, both of which are blown to smithereens by rockets in a less-than-accurate display of macho-American boomstick. Later on many other places fall victim to the itchy trigger fingers of Team America - Egypt loses any historic landmark you can think of, Panama Canal is blown up and flooded and Mount Rushmore (which coincidentally acts as the Team America base of operations) is Jihaded by a very angry, hotdog and dynamite toting Michael Moore. The film completes this brutal, hilarious demolition of the world€™s greatest achievements in one bomb heavy montage of worldwide destruction - it would be tragic and disturbing if the puppets weren't so purposely handled badly.
