10 Films That Would Make Great TV Shows

7. Men In Black

Dicaprio Django
Sony Pictures

Now that the Men in Black/21 Jump Street franchise crossover appears to have been abandoned (which, let's be honest, is probably for the best), Sony Pictures will most likely be considering what route to go down with this bankable franchise. A fourth film, with Will Smith and potentially with new, younger Agent K, Josh Brolin? Or a complete reboot in the shape of a TV series?

MIB, concerning a black-suited secret organisation that is tasked to hunt down and control the alien population hidden among us, still has bags of potential to deliver some exciting, original and downright entertaining stories. It could be executed as a serial, with a new alien to investigate each week, or be written as a continuing drama, with alien supervillains and conspiracies to take down over the course of an entire season. The underrated Men in Black 3, released only 5 years ago, shows that the franchise, which began back in the 1990s, still has a lot of life left.

There are some debaters that argue that Men in Black, as a whole, is an outdated premise, especially when viewers may consider the aliens to be a metaphor for illegal immigrants, which is increasingly a touchy subject in today's crazy political climate. However, if the franchise was to be given a shock of life with a new cast, and perhaps even a new overall goal (maybe aliens could be taken advantage of by dastardly human villains), who's to say that the dapper, memory-wiping agents in black couldn't resonate with a new generation of binge-watchers?
