10 Films That You Never Realised Doctor Who Actors Were In

9. Naoko Mori In Spice World

Naoko Mori, known and loved by Torchwood fans as Toshiko Sato (and yes, she does count as a Doctor Who actor before you get all high and mighty in the comments - she appeared in the Series 1 two-parter Aliens of London/World War Three), showed us what she wanted - what she really, really wanted - when she joined forces with the Spice Girls for their first and only big screen escapade back in 1997. Aptly titled 'Spice World', the musical extravangazathon, in which the iconic girl band "zipped around London in their luxurious double decker tour bus having various adventures and performing for their fans" (riveting!), received primarily negative reviews owing to the simple fact that nobody wanted to "slam it the left" because they definitely were not having a good time. One person who was just happy to be there, though, was Naoko who played the girls' heavily pregnant best friend Nicola. Naoko has since revealed that she had a ball making the film, despite the fact she hilariously had no idea who the Spice Girls even were when she got the part. Lucky her, eh?
