10 Films The Cast Of That '70s Show Want You To Forget

6. Brüno (2009) - Josh Meyers

Venom Topher Grace
Universal Pictures

Josh Meyers is a unique member of the That 70s Show cast for all the wrong reasons as he’s the only actor to NOT be remembered fondly by fans of the sitcom. Coming in at season eight, his character Randy Pearson was the replacement for Eric Forman. He had no chemistry with fellow castmates and couldn’t compete with how funny the rest of the characters were.

Meyers probably wants you to forget his inclusion in That 70s Show as much as he does his role in Brüno. Starring Sacha Baron Cohen, the film looks at the titular character as he seeks out new fame in America. It was definitely Cohen’s most outrageous and offensive film yet.

And because of its controversial brand of comedy, Brüno has aged horrendously. It is filled with insulting stereotyping and insipid humour. The script tries desperately to create satire on racism, homophobia and religion but ends up being more offensive than thought-provoking.

At least for the benefit of Josh Meyers, there are so many vile distractions in Brüno that no one will even notice his role within the film.
