10 Films With Amazing Casts That Should Have Been SO MUCH Better

5. Ocean's Twelve

What It Could Have Been Another film to add to the list of 'Not Bad, But Should Be Better' movies. The first film in the series got everyone's attention because it was attempting to remake a classic with one of the most glittering casts in cinema history. Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Matt Damon and Julia Roberts all got together for an enjoyable and respectable re-romp. People expected more of the same here, only on an even more extravagant scale. The Reality Ocean's Twelve tried to repeat the formula but got caught out. People didn't need to see the same thing again. They were wise to the studio's tricks in using A-list celebs to pad over by-the-numbers storytelling. Ocean's Twelve tries to raise the stakes even higher with the inclusion of Katherine Zeta-Jones, but even she and her other acting counterparts couldn't do anything to battle the creeping sense that this was another unnecessary Hollywood cash-in. The movie isn't helped by a sloppy ending which sort of invalidates what went before it either. It's a decent enough film, but if you've got Clooney, Pitt and Damon on board, you're surely expecting a classic?
