10 Films You Only Ever Remember Seeing The Trailer For

7. Gemini Man

Released in November of last year, Gemini Man trailers dominated the cinemas and television screens, starring Will Smith battling against a younger version of himself in this sci-fi genre movie. Audiences were intrigued due to the special effects on the film, as the star was set to play his age both now and 20 years younger. However, when the movie came out, the box office revenue hardly hit expectations, with a Rotten Tomatoes rating of only 26 percent overall.

Will Smith is known for some of the most iconic roles over the years, most recently as the genie in the musical live action adaptation of Aladdin and Deadshot in DC's Suicide Squad. These revivals starring big names by big companies are what draws the attention, in contradiction to the original film narrative of Gemini Man that did not gain anywhere near as much popularity in cinemas across the globe. Perhaps the unique plot was the reason why nobody went to see it.

The CGI aspect of the film was of such a high standard to create the de-aging and was the only aspect that created any excitement, rather than the semi cohesive plot.
