10 Final End Credit Movie Mistakes You Never Noticed

4. Kate's Fiancé Has The Wrong Name (For One Very Dark Reason) - Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines

Changeling Credits
Warner Bros.

You might remember that Terminator 3's heroine Kate Brewster (Claire Danes) had a fiancé, Scott (Mark Famiglietti), who gets murdered and impersonated by the T-X (Kristanna Loken).

Though a cop in the film refers to him as "Scott Mason," the movie's end credits erroneously list him as "Scott Petersen." There's a curious, disturbing history to this mistake, though - it wasn't just a case of an intern copying the wrong surname down off a call sheet.

In Terminator 3's script, Kate's boyfriend was indeed called Scott Petersen, though when the production realised that his name was extremely similar to Scott Peterson, a man who murdered his pregnant wife in late 2002, the decision was made to change the name.

Considering that Terminator 3 wrapped principal photography several months prior to the murders, and the cop's dialogue clearly wasn't dubbed over in post-production, it's safe to assume that the scene was re-shot before the film's release.

Despite this effort, however, somebody forgot to change the credits to match the new name.
