2. Murder Mystery

If you thought (read: hoped) Netflix's love affair with Adam Sandler was going to end any time soon, then the upcoming Murder Mystery is proof that this relationship will never, ever die. Following on from a bunch of phoned-in comedies, a stand-up special and the admittedly awesome The Meyerowitz Stories, the actor's next opus will be the imaginatively titled Murder Mystery, a film about Sandler and co-star Jennifer Anniston being framed for murder.

Even from the description, there's all the hallmarks of a classic Sandler picture, including a European setting that can double as a holiday for the actor. The first look at the movie shows the two in action, dressed up for a black-tie event set against some kind of lovely lake that no doubt would have made filming a total delight.

It's easy to get down on Sandler's modern output, but there may be a few laughs here, and if it means we get another Meyerowitz Stories, then the pain will be worth it.
