2. Immortan Joe's Death Was Too Quick
A good villain can make or break an action movie, and there's little doubting that Immortan Joe is one of the best bad guys seen in a movie in quite some time (even if he does occasionally suffer from Bane's indecipherable voice syndrome). In another great Easter egg-type nod to the original films, Joe is played by Hugh Keays-Burne, the same actor who played Toecutter in the original movie, this time around unrecognisable beneath layers of make-up, prosthetics and the all-important villainous mask. Like all great bad guys Joe isn't afraid to get his hands dirty, leading the pursuit of the wives himself. It's a shame, then, that his eventually death at the hands of Furiosa happens so quickly that if you blink you'll literally miss it - Furiosa rips his face off by hooking his mask to the wheels of the car he's driving, but seeing this in more gory detail would have made the payoff just that little bit more satisfying.
