10 Fool-Proof Ways To Save The Fantastic Four Franchise

7. Find A Better Villain

In lieu of an improved Doom, Fantastic Four€™s sequel would need a much better villain than the first film had. In order to cleanse our pallets and open us up to the difficult-to-swallow-at-this-stage concept of a decent Fantastic Four film, the next baddie would have to be truly brilliant. The obvious choice would be Galactus, the globe-gobbling godlike being who has plagued the comic book Fantastic Four since 1966. He€™s one of the biggest villains in Marvel Comics history, in terms of actual size and genuine threat (anyone who eats planets is a pretty serious adversary, after all). Bringing in a baddie this powerful could help force the franchise forward. With an added sense of apocalyptic scale there would be a huge change of focus, plenty of opportunities for action scenes and a big enough distraction to erase any lingering memories of the previous film.
