10 Fool-Proof Ways To Save The Fantastic Four Franchise

3. Spend Less Time With Computer Screens

Yes, we all spend a lot of our time in front of computers these days. They€™re a huge part of every day life, and they€™ve come to dominate our society. But why do we need to see so many PC monitors in a superhero movie? If I wanted to see people sat around looking bored in front of their computers, I would€™ve stayed at work. This was a big problem with Fantastic Four. For a vast chunk of its running time, it didn€™t feel like a superhero film at all. It felt like a bunch of millennial scientists sitting around and hammering around on their keyboards. You could argue that some of this was necessary as part of the origin story, but they went a bit overboard in this writer€™s opinion. Next time, we need to see the team out in the world a bit more. The constraints of a computer bank in a lab setting aren€™t conducive to engaging superhero drama. Maybe the team could get drawn out to investigate some weird scientific anomalies during the film, leading up to the reveal of Galactus? However the writers choose to play it, the cast shouldn€™t spend three quarters of the movie in front of their computers again.
