2. Sleepaway Camp (1983)

If there€™s a common thread in this list it€™s campers and mental patients. If you ever find yourself surrounded by campers (and by €œcampers€ I mean 27 year old actors playing 16) and/or mental patients promise me you€™ll book it. Good? Good. Sleepaway Camp is a film that needs to be seen to be believed. Not just the ending but the whole sordid weirdness of it all. From the out there script to the even further out there performances, this is a film that needs to be played at 11. What€™s interesting about Sleepaway Camp in particular is that it populates the camp with actual children and teenagers taking the violence to another level. This film gloriously showcases the weirdness of the films that got financed in the 80s. It€™s time to wave your freak flag high and meet Angela€
