10 Forgotten Movie Franchises That Need To Be Tied Up

7. Indiana Jones And The Fitting End To The Franchise...

Paramount PicturesParamount PicturesAs the potential six-month recovery period of a broken leg proves, Harrison Ford isn't getting any younger. Not that he's likely to leave the mortal coil any time soon, but what he might do is cut back on action-heavy movies. He's already filming Star Wars: Episode VII. There are rumours circulating of Blade Runner 2. But we also need to see a fitting end to the Indiana Jones franchise. Some might argue that Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull should never have happened. In fact here at Whatculture we've already considered 10 potential replacements for the real dud in the film that was Shia LaBeouf. But there was a lot of good too. Cate Blanchett made a wonderfully over the top villain. We finally got the reunion between Indy and Marion Ravenwood. And the army ants sequence was one of the most horrific moments in the whole franchise. You could also argue that Indy and Marion marrying at the end of the film could serve as a fitting end to the franchise. Well perhaps, if there hadn't been such a divided reaction to the film itself. Indiana Jones as a franchise needs to go out on a high and Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull was definitely not that high. We need at least one more film with Indy at the forefront; a film that fans will love. We might not get another Raiders Of The Lost Ark. But what about another Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade?
